Legia Warsaw secured their third ENBL win of the season with an impressive 86-79 victory against the Bristol Flyers. Though the Flyers came out strong, taking an early lead, the team from Warsaw gradually narrowed the gap. Coach Ivica Skelin’s rotations and adjustments, combined with standout performances by Michał Kolenda and Andrzej Pluta, were key in shifting the game’s momentum by halftime, setting the stage for Legia’s win.
Strong Comeback in the Second Half
Bristol started the second half aggressively, but Legia quickly countered with effective plays from Shawn Jones and Jawun Evans, leveling the score and increasing tension on the court. An altercation in the third quarter led to technical fouls and the ejection of Mate Vucić, adding to the drama. Despite the intensity, Legia found their rhythm and took a slim lead into the final quarter, thanks to Pluta’s crucial three-pointer.
Dominant Finish in the Fourth Quarter
Legia Warsaw took control early in the fourth quarter, extending their lead to double digits. A sequence of three-pointers and an emphatic dunk from Dominik Grudziński sealed the win for the visiting team, leaving Bristol’s last-minute efforts insufficient to overcome the deficit. Legia’s victory in Bristol adds momentum as they prepare for their next game against Czarni Słupsk on Sunday.
