In the second set, Sinner took control, securing the match and earning his fourth ATP Masters 1000 title. Djokovic, ranked sixth in the ATP Race, continues his pursuit of a spot in the ATP Finals.
Sinner’s Path to ATP Finals
With his victory in Shanghai, Sinner has already qualified for the ATP Finals in Turin. Reflecting on his win, he called it one of his toughest challenges, noting the significance of beating a tennis legend like Djokovic. Meanwhile, Poland’s Hubert Hurkacz, last year’s Shanghai champion, withdrew from the tournament due to post-surgery recovery.
