Challenging Quarterfinal for Magdalena Fręch in Nottingham

Magdalena Fręch, seeded fifth, faced a challenging quarterfinal match against Britain’s Katie Boulter, the third seed, at the WTA 250 tournament on the grass courts of Nottingham. Despite a determined effort, Fręch was defeated 2-6, 4-6 in a match that lasted 83 minutes and was interrupted by rain.

Head-to-Head Record

This encounter marked the third WTA meeting between Fręch and Boulter. The Polish player triumphed in their first match in 2017, but Boulter claimed victory in their most recent match in 2023 in Beijing, continuing her winning streak in Nottingham.

Continued Participation in Doubles

In addition to her singles campaign, Fręch is also competing in the doubles event alongside Katarzyna Kawa. The Polish duo is set to face the American-Chinese pair of Ashlyn Kreuger and Zhang Shuai in the quarterfinals, offering Fręch another chance to advance in the tournament despite her singles exit.
